With everything that goes on in the world today and our lives it’s not a matter of if we will experience stress, but when we will experience it. Not all stress is bad, but chronic distress is the most detrimental to one’s health. It is important to understand the nature of our stress, be able to access it, understand how it affects our bodies, our minds and our spirits. In so doing, we can understand what coping methods would be most effective for the type of stress that we are experiencing. For one of my classes I prepared a Stress Management Resource Guide that addresses these issues along with coping strategies, exercises and resources to help manage the stress that you are undoubtedly experiencing.
